Alphabetography is a new twist on an old story. Imagine being able to create your family surname, your child’s given name, or even a word which has special meaning to you with images.

This is exactly what Alphabetography is.

Start by typing in the word or name you would like to create, selecting the specific images you’d like on your final print, and submit. Your project is a conglomeration of the letters you have chosen, and comes printed and ready for framing. Prints are matte finish and are 6 x 20” in size.

New letters are being added all the time, and the possibilities for your custom wording is endless*.

An image can have up to ten characters; however, after 7 letters, the individual images are slightly smaller as the number of characters is increased. You may pick words/names up to 10 letters in length using the automated website, for a longer name or a special project, please submit a request by email to photographer@alongthebackroads.com with “Alphabetography Project” in the subject line. An Alphabetography image can actually have as many characters as you would like, and print sizes are available up to 20” x 30”.

Your Alphabetography print will arrive in 4 weeks or less. Images up to to ten letters are $35.

If you’d like to add in an image of your child, family, or another photo, please email a copy your image with specific instructions of what you’d like done. Photos tend to look better if they are of portrait layout unless you’d like to use two or three of the image spaces on an Alphabetography template. There is a $10 fee to add in a photo. Make sure your photo has a resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch) and has, at a minimum, dimensions of 2000 x 1500 pixels. Digital cleanups (removal of bend marks and dust (for scanned photos), wrinkles, acne, age spots, brightening teeth or eyes) are $25 per hour. If you’d like any of these services on a photo, please include a detailed message explaining what you’d like.

Free estimates are available upon request.

If you have any other special instructions, please inquire about a custom job.
