Helpful Tips for Your
Child's Photography Shoot

On the day of the shoot, make sure your children are wearing coordinating clothing if taking group photos.

It's best to avoid shirts with decals, stripes, or other logos as they often detract from the subject of the photograph—your child. Make sure that your children are well-rested and have eaten before a shoot for the best possible outcome.

It is also a good idea to bring snacks and a bottle of water. You know how kids are—they get hungry AND thirsty...those little buggers! Bringing a small ‘survival kit’ can really save the day—especially during a long shoot. (As a part of your 'survival kit' it's always a good idea to bring some wet wipes and a brush or comb. It's amazing just how dirty and unkempt a kid can become in a short time period.)

If your child is having a bad day, call and reschedule. There’s nothing worse than trying to photograph a child who does not want to cooperate and already has a bad attitude. Though a few good photos might be gained, it simply isn’t worth the effort in the long run.
